The Social Security System (SSS) signed a memorandum of agreement with Baug CARP Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BCBMPC), the newest SSS collecting partner agent, during ceremonies held at the Executive Lounge of the SSS Main Office in Quezon City on September 27. As an accredited SSS collecting partner agent, BCBMPC can assign representatives to collect its members’ SSS contributions, loan amortizations and miscellaneous payments, which will benefit over 6,800 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Northern Mindanao. The cooperative, which hails from Agusan del Norte, is the first-ever association to attain three SSS partnerships as a collecting and servicing agent, and a partner in the “AlkanSSSya” microsavings program for informal sector workers.
